In a previous life, I was an attorney specializing in business litigation. I quickly realized that lawyering was not the life for me.
I started pottery for the first time in 2022. Something drew me to it; I knew it would be a craft I would enjoy. I was right: I was drawn almost instantly. Throwing pottery on the wheel is a wonderfully meditative undertaking for me. The whole process forces me to slow down, be patient, and consider the details.
When I started ceramics, it was just a hobby. I thought I would make a few bowls and cups just for me, just for fun. I never thought that it would go anywhere or that anyone would see it. As with so many things in life, it's way better with company.
